Guelph road rage incident sends man to hospital

Verbal dispute between two motorists became physical

Guelph police are looking to speak to witnesses after a motorist was struck and injured during a road rage incident Wednesday afternoon in south Guelph.

Approximately 3:10 p.m. emergency services were called to the area of Laird Road and Hanlon Creek Boulevard for an injured male. Investigation revealed two drivers had been engaged in a verbal dispute. While one male was walking back to his vehicle he was struck by the other one. The victim in his 30s was transported to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries and his vehicle was also struck and damaged.

The driver of a dark grey GMC Terrain fled the scene. It will be missing the passenger-side mirror and have damage to the front passenger side.
