A Guelph man faces assault and mischief charges following a parking lot dispute between two motorists.

Just after 1 p.m. Sunday, police were called to a parking lot on Wellington Street West. Investigation revealed a man, who was a passenger in a vehicle, got upset after another driver honked his horn. The man approached the vehicle and kicked it, causing a large dent.

When the driver of the dented vehicle got out to confront him, the man retrieved a crowbar and held it over his head in a threatening manner.

A 40-year-old Guelph man is charged with mischief under $5,000 and assault with a weapon.
