$3,000 worth of tools stolen from vehicle outside hotel

Guelph police are investigating after approximately $3,000 worth of tools were stolen from a vehicle at a south end hotel.

Approximately 11:40 p.m. Wednesday police were called to a hotel near Laird Road and Southgate Drive. A witness had observed a male breaking into a pickup truck in the parking lot.

Investigation revealed a window had been smashed to access the tools, including drills, saws, socket sets and other tools with a total value of $3,000.
