Guelph police is investigating a serious collision that involved a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning.
A woman has been airlifted to a Hamilton trauma centre as a result.
The incident happened on Woolwich Street just south of Speedvale Avenue around 5:10 a.m., police report.
As a result Woolwich Street has been closed between Speedvale Avenue and Verney Street.
It is expected to remain closed for "some time" say police as they investigate.
