One person pushed another out of the way, and suffered the worst of a collision as a result, say police.

Two pedestrians were hurt, one seriously, on Friday at about 8 a.m. as they used a Woolwich Street crosswalk near Division Street, a police spokesperson explained.

A female victim was taken by air ambulance to Hamilton General Hospital with non-life threatening juries. The other sustained minor injuries “due to the other (victim) pushing them out of the way of the car.”

The driver was identified and charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
