Attempt to use counterfeit US bill
On March 30, 2020 at 12:20 p.m., it was reported to the Guelph Police Service that a male attempted to use a counterfeit $20 United States bill to purchase merchandise at a store in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. The clerk recognized the bill as being counterfeit and did not accept it. The male then left the store.
The male is described as:
• Caucasian
• 5’7
• Wearing a black hoodie with lettering across the chest, black baseball hat and black backpack with red writing

Attempted commercial break-in
Some time between 2 p.m. on March 26 and 10 a.m. on March 30, 2020, there was an attempted entry made to a business located near the intersection of York Road and Victoria Road South in the City of Guelph. An attempt was made to pry open a door to the business, resulting in the door handle getting damaged, however no entry was gained.

Business vandalized
Some time between the morning of March 26 and the morning of March 30, 2020, a business located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road North and Paisley Road in the City of Guelph was vandalized. A pellet gun was utilized to shot two holes through the front window.

Numerous thefts from vehicles
Some time between 7 p.m. on March 27 and 2:30 p.m. on March 30, 2020, a vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road North and Paisley Street in the City of Guelph. Numerous items were taken including a Victorinox knife, cheques, Visa card, gold speed skating medal and pictures. Scratch marks were also left along the passenger side door near the handle.

Some time between noon on March 29 and 10 a.m. on March 30, 2020, a vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road North and Paisley Road in the City of Guelph was entered. Approximately $60 cash was taken and the centre console was damaged.

Some time overnight on March 29, a vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Hadati Road and Auden Road was entered. A black leather wallet containing a Social Insurance Number card, debit card, driver’s licence, health card and $25 cash, was taken. Entry was gained as the vehicle was left unlocked.

On March 30 just after 7 p.m., a vehicle parked outside a business located near the intersection of Silvercreek Parkway North and Willow Road in the City of Guelph was entered. A black Michael Kors purse containing identification (including a passport) was taken. The purse had been left in the vehicle as the owner quickly ran inside the business to pick up their order.
