Guelph police are looking for a driver who fled from an officer Friday afternoon.
Shortly after 3 p.m. police were conducting speed enforcement at Gordon Street and Landsdown Drive when he observed a white Volkswagen travelling approximately 100 km/h and weaving around other vehicles.
The officer activated his lights and siren in an attempt to pull over the vehicle, however the driver seemed to be accelerating. In the interest of public safety the vehicle was not pursued.
The vehicle was described as a white four-door Volkswagen Golf with a possible dent over the left front wheel. It was last seen running a red light to turn from Gordon Street to Arkell Road.
