Guelph police report they are aware of a video circulating on social media in which a Guelph male can be heard making threatening comments and using profanity and racial slurs towards a third party who was not physically present.
The video was recorded during an interaction between two people in downtown Guelph Sunday morning. A 28-year-old Guelph male was arrested and has been charged with a number of offences in relation to this incident including robbery and weapons offences. He remains in custody and will appear in a Guelph bail court Wednesday.
All complaints of this nature are reviewed by the Guelph Police Service’s hate crimes coordinator.
