Man charged after police say two women were assaulted

Police say the man, who faces numerous charges, threatened a woman with a BB gun during the incident

A Guelph man has been arrested on a number of assault and weapons charges after two women were allegedly assaulted earlier this week.

Monday morning, officers were dispatched to an address near Willow Road and Applewood Crescent. They spoke to a woman, who reported an incident earlier that morning during which she attempted to intervene in a physical confrontation between a man and another woman.

The complainant reported during the altercation the man pointed a BB gun at her face and chest while uttering death threats. All parties are known to each other.

A 34-year-old Guelph man was arrested Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, pointing a firearm, possessing a firearm while prohibited, uttering threats and several counts of breaching court orders. He was held for a bail hearing.
