Guelph police are investigating after a Guelph Transit driver was allegedly assaulted Thursday afternoon at the downtown bus terminal.
Just before 4 p.m. police were called to Guelph Central Station on Carden Street. The complainant said he had exited the bus to use the washroom, closing the door behind him per policy. A man was waiting on the platform.
The man said he would wait on the platform for the driver to return but instead followed him to the washroom area where he punched the driver in the face before fleeing on foot.
The victim was treated on scene by paramedics for a minor injury.
