A 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman from Guelph were arrested Thursday on multiple charges after their involvement in various incidents around the city, say Guelph police.

On Saturday the couple was observed on video surveillance entering a secure building on Waterloo Avenue. While in the building the couple attempted to enter a locked storage room by damaging the door’s lock but were unable to gain access to the room.

On Thursday the same man was observed entering a business on Woodlawn Road, where he took power tools, valued at $369, and exited the store making no attempts to pay for the tools. He was arrested as he exited the business and charged with break, and enter, wearing a disguise with intent, theft under $5,000, and assault (from a previously reported incident). He was later released with a court date.

The woman was located shortly after and placed under arrest for break and enter and wearing a disguise with intent. She was released with a court date.
