Thursday at approximately 8:40 p.m., while on routine patrol, police allege officers observed a vehicle make a turn from Victoria Road on to the oncoming traffic on Eramosa Road. Police allege the vehicle was observed mounting the curb to avoid a collision.
Police immediately blocked the lane and spoke to the driver. As a result of the subsequent investigation, an 81-year-old Kitchener woman was charged with operation while impaired and operation 80 and above.
The accused was released with a November court date.
