Dispute between neighbours leads to charges

A Guelph man was arrested Tuesday for intentionally damaging his neighbour’s property, police report.

Just before 8:30 a.m. police received several calls about a disturbance in the area of Speedvale Avenue East and Delaware Avenue. Callers reported a male outside yelling and damaging items.

Investigation revealed a power tool was used to cut the wires on a welding machine and damage the tires on a bicycle trailer, rendering both inoperable. The damage was estimated at $1,000.

A 29-year-old man was arrested for mischief under $5,000.
