PUSLINCH -- One person has been arrested in connection with a home invasion in Morriston.
On Friday, January 31, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an emergency 9-1-1 call for a home invasion at a residence in the vicinity of Church Street and Whitcombe Way.
It was determined that three individuals forcefully entered a residence and confronted the occupants inside. One occupant received minor injuries following an altercation with the suspects.
The suspects took the homeowner's vehicle and fled the scene.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., members of the Mississauga Detachment OPP located the stolen vehicle in a parking lot near Highway 401 and James Snow Parkway in the Town of Milton.
OPP arrested one suspect with the assistance of Halton Regional Police and the Peel Regional Police Canine Unit. Investigators recovered a firearm at the scene.
Police are still searching for other suspects involved who are believed to be armed.
