The Guelph Gryphons will host the first game of the OUA football season this fall.
The Gryphons will welcome the Carleton Ravens at 1 p.m. on Aug. 24 to open up the OUA’s slate of games at Alumni Stadium.
It’s one of eight games for the team, who missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season last year with a 3-5 campaign.
Of note, Guelph will not have its bye week until the final week of the regular season, meaning there will be no mid-season reprieve for them.
Following the season opener, Guelph will play two straight on the road, visiting Toronto Sept. 1 and Laurier on Sept. 7, before returning home to host McMaster on Sept. 14.
Other home games are scheduled for Sept. 28 against Waterloo and Oct. 5 against Windsor.
The game against Waterloo will be Guelph's annual Homecoming game.
Guelph also hits the road for games against Queen’s (Sept. 21) and York (Oct. 11).
Notably, the Gryphons avoid the defending Yates Cup champion Western Mustangs during the regular season.
