Young or old, proper dental care is important to everyone. And having a dental office you can trust is one of the first steps to keeping your teeth bright and healthy for years to come.

Hanlon Creek Dental is one of the newest dental offices in Guelph. Opening last July and spearheaded by Dr. Sandra Gerlich and Dr. Alan Hguyen, Hanlon Creek offers comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.

Every treatment plan involves a review of your medical history and existing treatments. From there, the staff will discuss any new areas to be addressed. They’ll take the time to present your own unique dental treatment plan based on the x-rays, oral examinations and existing patient records.

Which factors go into choosing a dentist?

The dentist can be an intimidating place to visit for the first time. That’s why Hanlon Creek Dental offers office tours and meet-and-greets with Dr. Sandra and Dr. Alan to get a sense of what to expect during your first visit. This can help with first-time dentist jitters, especially for children.

Another way Hanlon Creek Dental puts patients at ease is the ability to watch your favourite show on Netflix while your procedure takes place. The staff at Hanlon Creek Dental pride themselves on delivering thorough, compassionate care and the full “wow experience” for their patients.

First-time patients at Hanlon Creek Dental not only get the full treatment, but they also receive a few bonuses. Everyone gets a free 90-minute Zoom teeth whitening treatment, which takes place in-office at Hanlon Creek Dental.

This procedure is valued at $450, but it’s free for new patients.

See your teeth like never before with a 3D digital scan

Every new patient also receives a complimentary 3D digital scan of their teeth, called an iTero scan. This allows you to see your teeth as the dentist sees them, which can point out problem areas and discolouration in your teeth or any potential treatment plans.

This photo-generated model is much easier for patients to understand their own dental health compared to a traditional x-ray scan. The 3D digital scan is free for every new patient at Hanlon Creek Dental.

No dental impressions are necessary, it’s all done by scanner

Anyone who has had dental impressions done for crowns, night guards or braces can attest it’s not always the most comfortable experience. Thanks to Hanlon Creek Dental’s 3D digital scanner, patients don’t have to worry about having dental impressions done.

They use the latest technology to take an in-depth look at your teeth, gums and overall oral structure, rather than using a traditional dental impression molds.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan makes dental care affordable

The federal government’s Canadian Dental Care Plan has made dental care more affordable for more Canadians today. Depending on your household income, the CDCP can cover up to 100% of eligible oral health care costs.

Hanlon Creek Dental has treated many patients who have come through their doors via the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Ask one of their staff members about which services this federal plan covers.
