Rogers says parts of Guelph are without Internet, TV and home phone service because of an act of vandalism.

According to the Rogers outage website, a “fiber cut caused by an act of vandalism” is responsible for the outage.

As of 3:45 p.m. Monday, Rogers said technicians are on site and assessing damage.

A Rogers representative wasn’t immediately available to answer questions regarding the outage, including how many people are impacted and how long the outage has been ongoing.

It has garnered plenty of chatter on the Guelph This & That Facebook page.

Some say they’ve been without service since early Monday morning.
