Do you have thoughts on heritage conservation in The Ward?
The city is looking for feedback at an open house for the Ward West Heritage Conservation District project.
An open house will take place Feb. 20 at the Italian Canadian Club, where community members can learn more about the study and share their feedback.
The first part of the study evaluated the historical, design and contextual value of the study area, and indicated it meets the heritage designation requirements under the Ontario Heritage Act.
Now, the project team is gathering feedback to see if there is public support for creating a heritage conservation district in The Ward, as well as what the goals and objectives of the district should be.
Members of the project team will share their findings at multiple stations, answer questions and take your comments.
During the open house, members of the project team will be sharing findings at multiple ‘stations’ and will be available to answer your questions and hear your comments.
Drop-in is welcome any time between 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
