Some major dollars are being given to a Guelph charity to help with the goal of building a science centre in the city.
Royal City Science is set to receive $25,000 from Sutherland Insurance, and will be given out in $5,000 increments over the next five years.
"This highly anticipated project will bring the joy of scientific exploration and discovery to our youth now through school visits and exhibits throughout the city," Suzanne Sutherland, marketing and philanthropy with Sutherland Insurance, said in a news release. "And will soon grow to be a Guelph Science Centre for all to enjoy."
Royal City Science said it is the "first major donation to come in from our incredible community."
