On September 8, 2018, at approximately 10:24 p.m., Guelph Police were called to a business on Scottsdale Drive in regard to a male sleeping in a vehicle. Upon arrival, it was learned the vehicle was stolen and the male who was in the driver seat was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000. Search incident to arrest, and police located the following items on him or in the vehicle:
- Switchblade knife
- Collapsible baton
- Bear spray
- Brass knuckles
- A substance believed to be marijuana with a street value of $100
- A substance believed to cocaine/fentanyl with a street value of $8000
- A substance believed to crack cocaine with a street value of $100
- A substance believed to be LSD with a street value of $20
Matthew HANSON, a 22-year-old Guelph male was further charged with two counts of breaching his Probation, two counts of Drive Disqualified, Weapons Dangerous, two counts of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, two counts of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Contrary to a Prohibition Order, two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. HASNON appeared in court on September 9, 2018.
