Guelph gets blown away on a windy day (11 photos)

Winds will drop Thursday, but so will temperatures

In the words of Winnie The Pooh, it was indeed a blustery day in Guelph on Wednesday, with wind speeds reaching up to 80 km/h throughout the afternoon.

There were some reports of some hydro lines down in rural areas of Wellington County and tree limbs felled.

The wind was expected to drop off by late afternoon. Weather for the weekend is returning to colder temperatures, with a high of minus-1 C on Thursday and around minus-6 C Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
