The annual Great Teddy Bear Picnic happens at the Wellington County Museum on June 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The family-friendly event includes food and refreshments, craft vendors, games and kids activities, and live entertainment.
The teddy bear parade kicks off at 1 p.m. and contests begin at 1:30 p.m.
Contest categories include:
• Smallest teddy bear
• Largest teddy bear
• Best dressed teddy bear
• Most Scottish looking teddy bear
• The teddy bear dressed exactly like the person holding it
• The most teddy bears a person has at the picnic
• The best dancing teddy bear – must be dancing in the arms of its owner
• The teddy bear which travelled the farthest with its owner to get to the picnic
• The teddy bear with the funniest name
• The youngest person holding five teddy bears
• The oldest person holding 10 teddy bears
The event is free to attend, however, donations to the Wellington County Museum are encouraged. The museum will be open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
