Through traffic won’t be allowed at a downtown area intersection for a two-week stretch beginning later this month.
City officials announced the upcoming closure of Dublin Street South at Essex Street, just south of Waterloo Avenue, in a post on the municipal website. The shutdown is set to begin on Nov. 8 and last for about two weeks.
“Only local access will be permitted,” the post states. “All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.”
The closure is to allow for the upgrading of sewer and water lines to support a redevelopment at 21 Dublin St. S. – a detached, single family home was torn down to make way for a new one.
