At least 27 convenience stores and gas stations in Guelph have been given the green light to sell alcohol, beginning just after the Labour Day long weekend.
According to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, 27 applications have been approved for locations listed as convenience stores in Guelph, as of July 4. More could be approved by the time newly licenced convenience stores can begin selling on Sept. 5.
The application process opened June 17.
