MOUNT FOREST – Wellington North's beloved farmers' market has found a new home on Princess Street.
The Wellington North's Farmers' Market has announced it will move to the former site of the Lion Roy Grant pool at the corner of Grant St., and Parkside Dr., in Mount Forest for the 2025 season.
When justifying the new location, the group said it would give the market greater visibility to Highway 6 traffic and provide opportunities for youth to play while their families shop since vendors can set up on the grass near the playground.
"This change promises to bring a fresh and vibrant atmosphere to the market," said the farmers' market in a news release.
The Farmers’ Market will continue to be open from 8:30am until noon on Saturdays from June 14 to Sept. 27. Staff said they anticipate most vendors will return and are encouraging local talent and entertainment to perform so they can increase talent attendance.
