MILTON –Two Guelph men were arrested for break and enter at a rural farm property in Milton.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, Guelph police attended a farm property near Woodbine Mohawk Park just before 3 p.m. Thursday. They observed a padlock had been cut off a farm gate to gain access to the property.
Officers located two males sitting in a vehicle beside an open barn door, and observed a fire inside the barn with plastic and copper wire burning. A search of the car revealed a large amount of stripped copper wire, as well as bolt cutters and other tools.
A 45-year-old Guelph man and a 39-year-old Guelph man are each charged with break and enter, possessing break-in tools and possessing stolen property. They were held for bail hearings.
