Approximately 12:35 a.m. police were called to the area of Alma Street North and Crimea Street. The caller advised a vehicle had been parked on the street for more than an hour and the single occupant kept getting in and out of the vehicle and was swearing.
Officers arrived and found a woman sitting in the driver’s seat. They detected an odour of alcohol on her breath and her speech was slurred. After failing a roadside breath test she was arrested and transported to the police station, where further testing confirmed she had more than the legal amount of alcohol in her system.
