A Guelph man was arrested after officers discovered someone inside a concession stand at Exhibition Arena early Thursday morning, Guelph police report.
Just after 1 a.m. an officer was patrolling near the arena at Exhibition Street and Division Street when he observed the roll-up shutters of the concession stand were open. A male was seen inside the building who ignored commands to come out and fled out another door.
He was arrested following a brief foot pursuit. Three Guelph Royals baseball jerseys were recovered. Investigation revealed the concession shutters and two cash boxes had been pried open, causing approximately $1,000 in damage.
A 41-year-old Guelph man is charged with break and enter.
