Three people have been arrested during an investigation of parties reportedly trafficking fentanyl in Downtown Guelph, Guelph police report.
During the summer, police received information from several sources about three people supplying fentanyl to individuals downtown. An investigation was started.
On Wednesday morning three search warrants were executed simultaneously at addresses on Willow Road and Waterloo Avenue. As a result of the searches officers recovered:
- Approximately 107 grams of fentanyl with an estimated value of $10,700
- Approximately 30 grams of carfentanyl with an estimated value of $6,000
- Approximately 484 grams of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated value of $5,000
- 70 Hydromorpohone pills with an estimated value of $700
- Almost $7,500 in cash
- Two replica firearms
A 42-year-old Guelph woman and two Guelph men, aged 40 and 32, each face charges of possessing controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking and possessing proceeds of crime. All three remain in custody awaiting bail hearings.
