A 76-year-old Guelph cyclist was taken to a Hamilton trauma centre after being hit by a pickup truck on Tuesday.
The incident happened shortly before 9 a.m., in the area of Woolwich Street and London Road, a police news release explains.
Investigators learned the driver was turning in a driveway when he struck the cyclist, who was thrown onto the vehicle’s hood and fell to the road.
The cyclist suffered lower body injuries.
An investigation continues.
