Guelph police are investigating after more than two dozen vehicles were damaged downtown.
Police began receiving reports approximately 3:30 a.m. of vehicles with damaged side windows. A total of 26 owners reported damage to their vehicles, which were all parked in the areas of Cork Street and Yarmouth Street. No thefts were reported from any of the vehicles.
The suspect was captured on surveillance video. He was described as a white male wearing a black jacket with the hood up, black pants and dark-coloured shoes with a light-coloured pattern on them.
He was carrying what appeared to be a red flashlight and is believed to have sustained an injury to his hand or forearm, as blood was found at the scene including inside some of the damaged vehicles.
