A Guelph woman faces charges after a Guelph Transit bus and two parked cars were struck by a hit-and-run driver last month.

Just after 10 p.m. Jan. 23, police were dispatched to Watson Road North near York Road to investigate a heavily-damaged pickup truck. The driver had sideswiped a bus and kept going, then hit two parked vehicles while trying to make a turn. The second impact tore off one of the truck’s front wheels but the driver again fled until she had to pull over because of the extensive damage.

An OPP officer on scene arrested a 28-year-old Guelph woman for impaired driving. On Sunday she was arrested by Guelph Police and charged with dangerous driving, failing to remain at a collision and driving without insurance.
