Guelph police are investigating after an employee of a south end business foiled a robbery attempt Friday morning.
Just after 8:30 a.m. police were called to a business near Gordon Street and Kortright Road. An employee had arrived at work and as she entered the back door two males in balaclavas ran towards her. She was able to close and lock the door, denying them entry. The males ran back to their vehicle, which was parked behind an adjacent business, and fled the area.
Both males were described as having tanned skin and small builds. One was wearing a black Adidas coat, black pants, white shoes, black gloves and carrying a green reusable Dollarama bag. The second was wearing a black coat, black pants, black shoes with white soles and black gloves. They were driving a silver Honda CRV with front-end damage which had previously been reported stolen from Mississauga.
