At approximately 11 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 5 th 2024 a distraction theft occurred at a bank located on Woodlawn Road in Guelph.

A male attended the bank and while inside at the ATM engaged in conversation with another male. While doing so, the other male was able to switch the victim’s debit card.

It was later discovered the suspect used the victim’s debit card fraudulently at multiple locations throughout the city, adding up to $2,600.

The suspect is described as male, Asian, 40-50 years of age, wearing a white baseball cap, and went by the name of Mr. Wong.
