Police are investigating after two people stole more than $2,200 worth of lipstick from a south end business last weekend.
Just after 7 p.m. Saturday, a man and woman entered a business near Stone Road West and Scottsdale Drive. As the woman pretended to look at fragrances while watching employees, the male began placing handfuls of items in his jacket. They left the store five minutes after entering.
In total, 136 Maybelline lipsticks with a value of $2,242 were stolen.
The man was described as mid-30s, 5’8” with a medium build, olive complexion and dark facial hair. He was wearing a black workwear-style jacket, beige sweater, jeans and a black baseball cap.
The woman was also mid-30s, 5’6” with a medium build, olive complexion, dark hair and a large nose. She was wearing a long beige winter jacket, black sweater and a zebra-print toque.
