NEWS RELEASE
THE ARBORETUM
*************************
Nature is the most amazing artist… if we take the time to look closely, we discover complex designs and colour combinations, shifting shapes, or movement in the landscape. Guest instructor/photographer Sylvia Galbraith will lead a Photographing Designs in Nature Workshop at The Arboretum, University of Guelph on Saturday, April 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. This class is perfect for the photographer looking for inspiration and fresh ideas.

Participants will look at new ways to photograph abstract patterns, and create impressionist effects. Through a short lecture, compositional techniques and camera settings will be studied, than practice will take place on a field trip on the Arboretum grounds.  The class finishes with a (gentle!) critique of your photographs.

Bring a tripod if possible, and dress for the weather... this is a 'rain or shine' class, wet weather can work wonders on the landscape.  Suitable for all skill levels with tips for both beginner and advanced photographers. Ages 16+, or younger if accompanied by an adult.

The early bird registration date is Thursday, April 12 and the early bird fee is $55 plus H.S.T. After that date, the fee is $65 + H.S.T.  Registration is online here.  For more information please call The Arboretum at 824-4120 ext. 52358.
