Texas-based artist Sarah Burton will be performing a free live show at Dublin Street United Church on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 6:30 p.m.

Burton is originally from Ontario and has recently moved to west rural Texas. She is currently in the area visiting family and friends and holding a few concerts while in the area.

For the Guelph show, Burton will be performing alongside Kevin Neal, a pedal steel player.

“We will be playing a special arrangement of material new and old, from light piano ballads and travel stories to rockin’ heartache numbers,” Burton shared.

Burton, who said she is a writer, describes her music style as a blend of folk, pop, rock, country and Americana, depending on the song and album.

“I have played in Guelph a handful of times and always loved the city. It has great character. Most recently, last year I played at DSTRCT (Lounge) with my friends in Folk Road Show, a Dutch, Aussie and Canadian folk group,” said Burton.

The singer-songwriter describes Dublin Street United as a stunning venue with amazing acoustics.
