Severe thunderstorm watch issued for:

   Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County, Ont. (046420)
   Halton Hills - Milton, Ont. (046630)
   Burlington - Oakville, Ont. (046640)
   City of Hamilton, Ont. (046100)   

Current details:
Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts.

A line of severe thunderstorms is possible this evening.

Hazards:
Wind gusts near 90 km/h.
Tree damage and power outages are possible.
An isolated tornado may also be possible.

Timing:
Ending late this evening.

Description:
A line of thunderstorms is moving east through southern Ontario at 80 km/h.

Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
