PUSLINCH – It's official: Jamie MacNeil is the township of Puslinch's first full-time fire chief.

Starting as a volunteer firefighter in Beeton, MacNeil has been a firefighter for almost 23 years and has held positions as a training officer and deputy chief throughout his career.

Originally approved in June 2022, the township extended its shared fire chief service agreement with Centre Wellington until March 31 or when the position was filled during a council meeting last December.

Tom Mulvey previously served as the fire chief for both departments.
