Massive fire engulfs Old Marina Restaurant in Puslinch

Fire crews from and surrounding Puslinch help put out fire at Old Marina Restaurant

A billowing fire engulfed the Old Marina Restaurant in Puslinch on Saturday.

The fire started around 1 p.m. with seven fire trucks, two paramedic vehicles and one OPP cruiser on the scene.

No injuries have been reported by Cambridge Fire Department. Fire crews will continue to put out the fire throughout the late afternoon.

The fire mainly engulfed the centre of the structure.

A resident who lives in the McClintocks trailer resort said the restaurant was full of people during the lunch time fire.

"My heart breaks for them," said the resident who only identified as Sandy. "That was their livelihood, burnt to the ground."

Waitresses and staff were visually shaken at the scene of the fire.

The Cambridge Fire Department, North Dumfries, Puslinch and Guelph/Eramosa firefighters responded to the scene on McClintock Dr. in Puslinch Lake.

Social media posts capture video and photos of the fire.
