The Grand River Conservation Authority is issuing the following Flood Termination message for the entire Grand River watershed.

The weather system, which has been impacting southern Ontario since Sunday evening, arrived with substantially less rainfall than forecast. Rainfall totals across the Grand River watershed have been recorded in the range of 10 - 20 mm as of Monday morning, with highest totals falling in the southern watershed.

Rain is forecast to continue for the remainder of the day on Monday with an additional 5 – 15 mm expected across the watershed. Sunny and dry conditions are forecast for the rest of this week.

Based on the observed rainfall received and the remaining rainfall in the forecast, flooding is not anticipated.

The Flood Warning and Flood Watch issued yesterday is terminated.

Stay Safe

The public is reminded to exercise caution around all water bodies. Banks adjacent to rivers and creeks are slippery and flows will be slightly elevated, posing a hazard. Parents are encouraged to keep their children and pets away from all watercourses.
