The third annual Guelph Ice Bowl will be underway this Saturday to raise money for The Seed.

The disc golf charity event will be held at Eastview Community Park and Riverside Park, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets are $50 and registration is through The Disc Golf Scene website.

The Guelph Disc Golf Club hosts the event to fundraise for local charities, this year The Seed was chosen. The Seed connects community by helping people access healthy food.

The disc ice bowl is typically run during the winter, and tournament organizers are encouraged to pick a charity that is trying to fight food insecurity.

In 2022, Guelph Disc Golf Club raised $4,320 and 2,500 lbs of food, with 176 participants.

The goal this year is to raise $5,000 and 1,000 lbs of food.
