If the union truly wanted the public to know what is going on, they'd tell us what is being denied that they are asking for in much more than this general self-promoting riff-raff about how they're "committed" to resolve.
Tell us - What is /are the hangups for the employer and what exactly (specifically) is being asked for them and for workers compared to what each has now. Otherwise, it's no coincidence we are left in the dark - as you know

It would have made sense to make molds of the spires before removing them all. New ones could simply have been cast in any material and set in place when the old ones came down. Why did that or something similar not happen?

The governments need to be sued for their blatant lies, coerced manipulations, and horrifically denied appropriate management of the tax dollars (decades upon decades worth) that all these seniors put into government coffers in full and justified expectation they all would be cared for with at least proper housing. Our governments have committed malfeasance, upon their own citizens, very far beyond abuse!

Guelph Transit has some really good bus drivers who work well at getting us to our connections on time. (Though yes, not all drivers fit that bill) But even as a passenger it is obvious to me they are working their best in an already bad system, with bad root planning, to say nothing about the past decades of futile talks never acted upon to actually make necessary improvements.
Today the city talks as if ridership is the problem. The problem is the system. Fix it and ridership would no doubt increase simply by positive change. We need not be living in a city that says its the students that mostly support transit. We know why that is!
How about making the system good for all of us! Otherwise it remains student transit, not Guelph transit (few would complain about that.)
Hire proper experienced city route planners: pay appropriate wages; immediately fix the system. Stop putting it off as you've been making it worse by avoidance.

Why does a lobbyist need to register? We are all lobbyists of sorts one way or another. That wouldn't be just another divisive concoction someone is drumming up, - would it? Presently a citizen can lobby for anything that is legal. So what does a "registered" lobbyist have, that he didn't already have besides this "registration"?

I have to agree not just by the fact elders never had it in school, but many of these same elders do not have AC in their houses or apartments for which they pay the big bucks.
That said, if there was at any point or if there is now the money for AC in any of these schools, why is it not already installed? ...Why some schools and not others? AC has been around for a very long time so where did the money go for installation. I simply cannot believe the money was never there since AC was introduced into the first school, while today we are still leaving a select few without AC.
Who altered to budget for such things and who is responsible now to get budgets back on an even keel?

Who's idea was this insanity of moving elderly away from their family, even as far as Harriston? They had no right ... and what other options should have been considered?
One option should certainly have been letting them stay in hospital. It's not like these elders didn't pay for the hospital! In fact they paid for 2 hospitals... !!!... both in Guelph, not Harriston. Now how does it happen we only have one hospital and no extra building has happened ...even though and when (even in the 60's) government knew very well there would be a huge need by the time these elders would need care. Where did that knowing bring us? The oops file? Give over with the lies and pretence. We've been and still are getting dooped constantly. Politicians refuse to represent us.

Possibly the two officers that watched him pummel the daylights out of a handcuffed kid. As far as I'm concerned, as a cop and as a man, he is a threat to society. This whole case should have been dealt with immediately. The video plus his past record speaks volumes. He should have been jailed long ago and serving a harsh sentence still instead of walking free. This situation is absurd at best.
