A Breslau man turned himself in to police on Tuesday in relation to reported assaults at a Guelph bar earlier this month, making him the third person facing charges in the incident.

During the early morning hours of Dec. 7, two men were involved in an altercation inside a bar on Woodlawn Road West during which one was punched in the face, a police news release explains. As a security worker attempted to remove one of the men, he was allegedly punched in the face by another.

A second security worker attempted to retain that man and was bitten in the arm, causing it to bleed.

Officers arrived and arrested a 29-year-old Cambridge man and a 29-year-old Toronto man for assault.

Further investigation led police to a third suspect, alleged to have assaulted the original victim and one of the employees who intervened. He fled before police arrived.

On Tuesday evening, a 29-year-old Breslau man was arrested at the police station and charged with two counts of assault.
