It was a swing and a miss for a man at the centre of an investigation by Guelph police, stemming from an incident at a business in Downtown Guelph.

Guelph police say the suspect went into a business near Paisley and Norfolk streets around 5 p.m. Tuesday, began yelling at staff and threatened to kill them.

Police add the male had been previously banned from the business.

Police say the male tried punching two employees as he was being removed, but did not make contact with them, thus no physical injuries were sustained by the victims.
