Guelph police are investigating after a Kitchener man reported being slashed with a knife in Guelph early Sunday.
Just after 4 a.m. a police officer was approached by an injured man near Gordon Street and Waterloo Avenue. He was observed to have two slashes across his abdomen as well as a cut on his eyebrow and bruising on his face.
The man reported he had been involved in an altercation at a downtown business with two unknown males, one of whom was armed with a small knife. He said he was slashed with the knife and punched in the face. He was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
