A Kitchener man faces sexual assault and forcible confinement charges after a woman in Guelph was assaulted by a stranger on Friday.
Emergency services were called to a Guelph home Friday morning. An adult female said she was walking near Willow Road and Silvercreek Parkway North just after 6 a.m. when she spoke to a male who was in a vehicle. She reported the male forcibly got her into his vehicle where she was sexually assaulted.
Investigation led to the identity of a suspect, who was arrested Friday afternoon at his workplace in Guelph. A 45-year-old Kitchener man is charged with sexual assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault by strangling and forcible confinement.
