A Guelph man faces an impaired driving charge after police received a tip from a concerned citizen on Tuesday evening, say Guelph police.
Just before 7 p.m., police were dispatched to a business on Scottsdale Drive after receiving a call stating it was believed that the driver of the vehicle had just left the area with the male driver possibly impaired.
Police located the vehicle along with the described driver shortly after at a nearby address. Police noticed an odor of alcohol on the male’s breath and a breath test was conducted on an approved screening device, to which the male failed.
The male was taken to the Guelph Police Station, where he was charged with impaired driving.
