OSHAWA – Rookie goaltender Colin Ellsworth made 38 saves and veteran winger Charlie Paquette had a hat trick to lead the Guelph Storm to a huge 6-1 win over the Oshawa Generals on the road Sunday.
Paquette also had an assist for a four-point game against the Generals, ranked ninth in the latest CHL rankings.
Ryan McGuire, Parker Snelgrove and Hunter McKenzie, the latter on a shorthanded breakaway, had the other Guelph goals.
They led 2-0 after the first period and 4-1 after two as Guelph snapped a three-game losting streak.
In total, 12 Storm players had at least one point.
The Storm hosts Sarnia Friday night and Ottawa Sunday afternoon.
