Social worker and psychotherapist Giselle Jones will talk about the additional and invisible labour of navigating the world being Black, as well as the resilience and power born from both intergenerational and lived experience. There is no cost to attend, but donations are encouraged.
Memorial skate in honour of Mike Jobb
Dovercliffe Park (38 Dovercliffe Rd.); 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In honour of longtime community park skating rink volunteer Mike Jobb, who passed away last month, there is no cost to participate in the memorial skate but donations are encouraged. Collected funds will be presented to the McMaster Children’s Hospital cancer ward and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
